Blending Supervisor

Walton, KY.

Job Summary:
Supervises and oversees daily operations in the blending department. Performs all tasks in a safe manner observing cGMP and quality standards. Must be able to follow written SOP’s / work instructions. Delegates workloads to blenders daily and ensures blends are performed properly. Must be results-focused and oriented toward the accomplishment of the team and organizational goals.

Experience/Education:

  •     Bachelor's degree, with a minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience.
  •     3 - 5 years of supervisory and blending experience is required.
  •     ERP experience preferred
  •     Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  •     Solid decision-making skills.

Lab Analyst

Walton, KY.

Job Summary:

***Second Shift***

The Lab Analyst must be proficient at basic analytical techniques such as pipetting, weighing, drying, filtering, etc.; and must have industry experience (preferably in an FDA regulated industry) with one or more techniques in automated instrumental analysis (HPLC, GC, dissolution) or wet chemical analysis (compendial methods). The Lab Analyst performs testing of any and all samples submitted to the laboratory in a cGMP compliant manner following written procedures and good documentation practices. The Lab Analyst could be required to write or revise SOPs, analytical procedures, and analysis reports, at the discretion of quality unit. Analyst provides guidance to blenders, processes samples and prepares records, charts, and graphs of results for presentation. Analyst performs incoming inspection testing of raw materials. Must ensure that the product meets specifications. Performs all tasks in a safe manner observing cGMP and quality standards. Must be results focused and oriented toward accomplishment of team and organizational goals. Must be able to work flexible hours to include overtime when needed.

Duties:

  • Perform testing in accordance with written procedures for: stability samples, raw materials and packing components, in-process manufactured product and finished product.
  • Perform testing to support method validations, method transfers, process and cleaning validations.
  • Review and countersign worksheets for the purpose of verifying compliance with written procedures, good documentation practices, data integrity and accuracy of calculations.
  • Qualify in-house reference standards.
  • Perform daily standardization and performance verifications on laboratory equipment.
  • Comply with site wide procedures including but not limited to change control, documentation, deviation and OOS reporting, cGMP compliance and safety.
  • Obtain and perform quality tests on samples of raw materials, intermediates and finished goods using the full spectrum of analytical tools and technology available. Record data, analyze and present analysis to the proper personnel.
  • Conduct special testing and analysis in conjunction with new product development, trouble-shooting of complaint samples and investigation/analysis of off-spec products and raw materials.
  • Ensure samples in the control laboratory are processed fully, accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work from written and verbal instruction.
  • Efficient work habits.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while remaining productive at all times.
  • Ability to stay positive and calm in difficult and/or trying circumstances.
  • Some administrative activities may be required as needed

Requirements:

  • One (1) three to (3) years of Quality Control laboratory experience in the pharmaceutical/biologics industry.
  • BS/BA degree in chemistry related scientific discipline, preferred. All experience must reflect working in a cGMP environment.

Chemical Blender

Walton, KY.

Job Summary:

***Temp-to-Hire, train on 1st shift, then move to 2nd***

Combines raw materials within formula specifications to support production requirements while adhering to cGMP and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  •     Ability to work with minimal supervision while remaining productive at all times
  •     Stage ingredients
  •     Perform weighing and blending of formulas
  •     Maintain raw material integrity in storage areas
  •     Tanker unloading
  •     Work in accordance with all safety regulations and Best Sanitizers sop’s and work instructions.
  •     Maintain blending equipment logs
  •     Perform sanitation and cleaning of manufacturing equipment as assigned
  •     Weekly calibration verification of scales in blending/production areas
  •     Perform waste water treatment activities as assigned
  •     Perform operator maintenance on blending equipment, troubleshoot and notify maintenance of needed equipment repairs
  •     All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  •     5 years prior chemical/blending experience required
  •     1 year of sit down forklift experience preferred
  •     Thorough documentation and written communication skills
  •     Ability to interact and work with team members
  •     Must be able to work flexible hours to include overtime when needed
  •     Must have an understanding of chemicals, measuring and blending
  •     Must have excellent math skills
  •     Must have an understanding of how to read blending tickets, SOPs and other documentation related to producing a blend that meets all quality tests

Physical Requirements:

  •     Ability to lift 50 pounds
  •     Reach and lift overhead
  •     Crouch and lift from floor level
  •     Ability to work in an elevated work area
  •     Operate a forklift
  •     Walk and stand up to 95%
  •     Work in temperatures between 50° F to 85° F

PPE Required:

  •     Respirator, over boots, dust mask, glasses/goggles, face shield, gloves, apron; when near open product, cleaning chemical spills or treating waste water
  •     Steel toe or composite toe safety shoes

Quality Control Inspector

Job Summary:

TEMP-TO-HIRE POSITION, TRAIN ON FIRST, THEN MOVE TO SECOND.

We are looking to hire an experienced Quality Control Technician to train on 1st, then move to 2nd. Individuals must be able to use a variety of techniques and inspection methods to determine if a product meets quality standards. Methods include visual inspections, measurements, and functional testing. Experience working in a cGMP environment is preferred.
