Quality Assurance Associate

***Temp-to-Hire Position***

The Quality Assurance Associate must have the skills required to understand Quality Systems to cGMP 21 CFR 210 and 211 for Pharmaceutical as well as Medical Device 21 CFR 820.

Duties:

  • Performs trending analysis on internal and external failures
  • Conducts Stability Studies; AET testing
  • Reviews QC Component Inspections
  • Prepares samples for outside laboratory test
  • Analyzes and interprets production and quality performance data
  • QA Turnkey Inspections

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years required in Quality Assurance of Regulatory Affairs; 1 - 3 of those years in a manufacturing setting (Pharmaceutical or Medical Device preferred)
  • 2-year degree a plus
  • Ability to perform systems, process, and product audits
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high volume environment
  • Computer skills; Microsoft Office and Manufacturing Management Products (MRP, ERP, Quality System Software)

Production Planner

Job Summary:
The production planner covers the planning, scheduling and tracking of workflow throughout the manufacturing process. Works with sales department to determine current and future product needs while coordinating with production, warehouse, quality departments to determine the most effective production schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicates issues with department heads to ensure production schedule is met
  • Creates master production plan utilizing data from ERP/MRP systems and utilizes other software such as Excel, Crystal reports, MS Office products to create an effective schedule that outlines the production quantity requirements, equipment utilization, manufacturing capacity, schedule and workforce size needed on daily/weekly/monthly basis
  • Generates work order packets to perform the scheduled production run
  • Reconciles work orders to generate data on production quantities, time and cost for input into ERP/MRP system
  • Monitors, analyzes and reports performance to schedule of production activities utilizing information from ERP and work order systems
  • Assist manufacturing department to actively manage the production schedule
  • Research and assigns manufacturing times and due dates on components and raw material as needed to fulfill schedule production runs
  • Coordinates with other departments as needed to identify and resolve issues regarding quality and delivery.
  • Coordinates with other departments and is responsible for scheduling periodic maintenance, validation, and repair of production equipment
  • Generates reports on the performance of the manufacturing department relating to meeting production schedule and provides continual improvement of the planning and reporting process
  • Ability to modulate with a dynamic workload: From heavy multi-tasking during peak workloads- to very focused, detail oriented work on critical tasks
  • Attends all production related meetings
  • Work in accordance with and enforce all safety regulations and Best Sanitizers sop’s and work instructions
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Business administration or operations background preferred.
  • 3-5 years of planning and scheduling experience in a manufacturing setting required
  • Competent with computer software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Project and Visio).
  • Experience with ERP/MRP software systems such as Visual manufacturing, SAP, Solarsoft CMS, etc a big plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 1-5 pounds infrequently
  • Reach and lift overhead
  • Crouch and lift from floor level
  • Sit, walk and stand up to 95%
  • Work in temperatures between 50° F to 85° F

Chemical Blender

Job Summary:
Combines raw materials within formula specifications to support production requirements while adhering to cGMP and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while remaining productive at all times
  • Stage ingredients
  • Perform weighing and blending of formulas
  • Maintain raw material integrity in storage areas
  • Tanker unloading
  • Work in accordance with all safety regulations and Best Sanitizers sop’s and work instructions.
  • Maintain blending equipment logs
  • Perform sanitation and cleaning of manufacturing equipment as assigned
  • Weekly calibration verification of scales in blending/production areas
  • Perform waste water treatment activities as assigned
  • Perform operator maintenance on blending equipment, troubleshoot and notify maintenance of needed equipment repairs
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 5 years prior chemical/blending experience required
  • 1 year of sit down forklift experience preferred
  • Thorough documentation and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact and work with team members
  • Must be able to work flexible hours to include overtime when neededMust have an understanding of chemicals, measuring and blending
  • Must have excellent math skills
  • Must have an understanding of how to read blending tickets, SOPs and other documentation related to producing a blend that meets all quality tests

Line Captain

Long Term Contract Position*

Job Summary:
Trains, coordinates and directs line workers in the production of goods for the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead line workers in the process of manufacturing goods for production
  • Train new employees on current BWI’s and BOP’s
  • Delegate workload to line workers and cover down when necessary
  • Identify component issues in the production process and report to supervisor
  • Verify the line is ready for production
  • Performs quality checks during production and records data accurately
  • Performs line clearance after production runs are complete
  • Accurately and clearly completes production line paperwork as instructed
  • Work in accordance with all safety regulations and Best Sanitizers sop’s and work instructions
  • Works with quality department to resolve issues

Qualifications:

  • 1-year leadership experience preferred
  • 1-3 years manufacturing experience
