Industrial Maintenance Technician

Walton, KY
Full-time

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairing, installing, adjustments, and preventative maintenance to machinery and mechanical equipment. Performs all tasks in a safe manner observing cGMP and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
  • Examines tools and equipment to detect needed replacements, unsafe conditions, or violations of safety rules.
  • Works in accordance with all safety regulations and Best Sanitizers SOP’s and work instructions.

Qualifications:

  • VFD trouble shooting and programming experience.
  • Welding skills.
  • PLC programming and troubleshooting skills.
  • Mechanical knowledge of troubleshooting and repairing liquid filling lines equipment such as Fillers, Cappers, Labelers, torque machines, pumps, conveyors, jet coders, etc.
  • Complete understanding of Lock Out/Tag out procedure.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
  • Prior work experience in an FDA environment a plus.
  • 3 years prior maintenance experience in manufacturing setting.
  • Thorough documentation and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact and work with team members.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours to include overtime when needed.

Production Line Mechanic

Job Summary:

The Production Line Mechanic is responsible for setting up different line setups and changes. Performs all tasks in a safe manner observing cGMP and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct line setup and changeovers for all production runs.
  • Performs daily, weekly, monthly, and annual preventative maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and simple electrical maintenance issues.
  • Monitor performance of equipment throughout the day.
  • Maintain equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Make equipment improvement recommendations.
  • Assist facilities with side work i.e. hanging equipment, paint, concrete, dry wall repair etc.
  • Work in accordance with all safety regulations, sop’s and work instructions.

Qualifications:

  • Mechanical knowledge of troubleshooting and repairing liquid filling lines equipment such as Fillers, Cappers, Labelers, torque machines, pumps, conveyors, jet coders, etc.

Chemical Blender

Job Summary:
Combines raw materials within formula specifications to support production requirements while adhering to cGMP and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while remaining productive at all times
  • Stage ingredients
  • Perform weighing and blending of formulas
  • Maintain raw material integrity in storage areas
  • Tanker unloading
  • Work in accordance with all safety regulations and Best Sanitizers sop’s and work instructions.
  • Maintain blending equipment logs
  • Perform sanitation and cleaning of manufacturing equipment as assigned
  • Weekly calibration verification of scales in blending/production areas
  • Perform waste water treatment activities as assigned
  • Perform operator maintenance on blending equipment, troubleshoot and notify maintenance of needed equipment repairs
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 5 years prior chemical/blending experience required
  • 1 year of sit down forklift experience preferred
  • Thorough documentation and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact and work with team members
  • Must be able to work flexible hours to include overtime when neededMust have an understanding of chemicals, measuring and blending
  • Must have excellent math skills
  • Must have an understanding of how to read blending tickets, SOPs and other documentation related to producing a blend that meets all quality tests

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Reach and lift overhead
  • Crouch and lift from floor level
  • Ability to work in an elevated work area
  • Operate a forklift
  • Walk and stand up to 95%
  • Work in temperatures between 50° F to 85° F

PPE Required:

  • Respirator, over boots, dust mask, glasses/goggles, face shield, gloves, apron; when near open product, cleaning chemical spills or treating waste water
  • Steel toe or composite toe safety shoes

Line Captain

Long Term Contract Position*

Job Summary:
Trains, coordinates and directs line workers in the production of goods for the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead line workers in the process of manufacturing goods for production
  • Train new employees on current BWI’s and BOP’s
  • Delegate workload to line workers and cover down when necessary
  • Identify component issues in the production process and report to supervisor
  • Verify the line is ready for production
  • Performs quality checks during production and records data accurately
  • Performs line clearance after production runs are complete
  • Accurately and clearly completes production line paperwork as instructed
  • Work in accordance with all safety regulations and Best Sanitizers sop’s and work instructions
  • Works with quality department to resolve issues

Qualifications:

Cleaning and Sanitation Technician

Job Summary:

The Sanitation Technician is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production and blending equipment, the upkeep of manufacturing and production areas and the verification of weighing devices.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and machinery
  • Follows all BOP’s and BWI’s for cleaning and sanitizing of blending and filling equipment
  • Completes daily, weekly, monthly, and semi-annual cleaning checklists
  • Conducts fire extinguisher and eye wash station checks
  • Performs scale verification weekly
  • Uses the proper protective equipment at all times
  • Trained on chemical handling and use
  • Has ability to be cross trained to work in production and waste water when necessary
  • Operate sit down and stand up forklift
  • Operate scissor lift

Skills:

  • Must possess the ability to work well with others as well as independently
  • Strong time management skills
  • Thorough documentation and written communication skills
  • Works independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction
  • Must be able to lift and/or move 50 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time, have solid manual dexterity skills, and be able to reach, stoop, kneel, bend, push and pull repetitively.

Qualifications:

  • S. Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • One year of experience in manufacturing
  • One year of experience working with sanitation processes equipment
  • Has the ability to interpret documents, regulations, operating instructions with accuracy
  • Experience in an FDA regulated and/or ISO certified environment preferred
  • Previous forklift experience and certification preferred
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, come in early or stay late when necessary
