Purchasing Manager

Walton, KY.

Job Summary:

The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for the overall leadership, implementation, coordination and control of the purchasing department at Best Sanitizers, Inc.  Manage all aspects of purchasing to efficiently and cost-effectively support organizational operations, while optimizing supplier relationships to ensure maximum value and continuous service flow.  Align overall company goals to guarantee strategic consistency through regular communication with senior management.  Performs all tasks in a safe manner observing cGMP and quality standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Establish and implement purchasing policies, procedures, and best practices in alignment with company policies.
  • Lead supplier selection process, negotiate competitive contracts, and develop effective supplier relationships benefiting short and long-term strategic growth.
  • Monitor, measure and manage the vendor/supplier cost, quality and delivery performances.  Regularly evaluate options to reduce total costs.
  • Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability and develop action plans to mitigate supply chain complications.
  • Generate business analytics reports; including vendor performance matrix, ROI’s, market trends and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Develop and manage projects for new product development sourcing requirements, while supporting product development team for sourcing needs.
  • Oversee the daily activities of the purchasing department, to include coaching purchasing associates on long range plans and establishing annual goals from both a business and professional position.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Materials Management, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • Purchasing Management experience for a medical device and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing organization desired; with a chemical background preferred.
  • Must demonstrate broad working knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials with preferred experience in pharmaceutical and/or medical device manufacturing; including chemical blending, liquid filling and assembly operations.
  • Experience with ERP systems required; IQMS preferred.
  • CPSM or similar certification a plus.
  • Proficient at using MS Excel and Microsoft Office Products.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Communication proficiency; written and verbal.
  • Pass background and homeland security check.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Lab Manager

Walton, KY.


Job Summary:
The Laboratory Manger will be responsible for the overall operation of a quality control laboratory to include activities involving personnel, and equipment. Additional responsibilities include directing method development, performing technical tests, experiments for process manufacturing, audits, and providing guidance to blending operators. Candidate must have the ability to provide technical assistance to product development, create product specifications, SOPs, control charts, and other related documents. Performs all tasks in a safe manner observing cGMP and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Train Lab Analysts in job functions, methods, cGMP and ICH guidelines.
  • Plan, assign, supervise, and evaluate work performed by Laboratory staff.
  • Handle procedural and technical laboratory problems.
  • Works closely with Quality Assurance and Technical Managers to ensure laboratory data meets all applicable method criteria, client criteria, and the requirements of accrediting bodies.
  • Develop and implement quality control programs to ensure reliability of testing procedures, proper function of laboratory equipment and compliance with federal regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain applicable records.
  • Provide advanced problem solving, OOS investigation, troubleshooting, interpretation/consultation, verification of specimen quality and test results.
  • Determine acceptability, condition and physical tests of product raw material & disposition of finished product in accordance with standards and specifications.
  • Ensure quality and integrity of raw materials, in-process, and finished-product in accordance with standards and specifications.
  • Thorough and detail-oriented visual inspections, hands-on inspection, sampling, and documentation for raw materials, in-process and finished products including chemical testing.
  • Documents; recording and summarizing data from sampling, inspections and tests.
  • Laboratory equipment maintenance and validation.
  • Analyzing, and interpreting production and quality data.
  • Some administrative activities may be required as needed.
  • Support to R&D process development.
  • Assist in the administration and performance of stability testing.
  • Oversee the phase 1 investigation of any out of specification testing result.

Qualifications:

  • A BS/MS or equivalent degree in Chemistry, with a least 10+ years working full-time in a pharmaceutical laboratory setting.
  • 3 – 5 years of supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Experience working with cGMP regulations and GLP (Good Laboratory Practices).
  • Experience with analytical methods and validations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to apply computer skills covering word processing, spreadsheet analysis
  • Ability to apply mathematical formulae and engineering rules of thumb to tasks and execute technical and engineering calculations.
  • Ability to work independently and well with others.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must pass Homeland Security background check

Line Worker

Walton, KY.

Job Summary:
Multiuse front line worker in the production of goods for the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in accordance with all safety regulations and Best Sanitizers' SOP’s and work instructions.
  • Load conveyer with components
  • Palletize finished goods for shipment
  • Inspect components during manufacturing process
  • Make boxes
  • Label containers
  • Move finished goods to staging area with pallet jack
  • Housekeeping
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 1 year manufacturing experience preferred
  • Must possess the ability to work independently as well as with others
  • Must be able to follow written procedures / work instructions
  • Must be able to work flexible hours to include overtime when needed

Physical Requirements:  

  • Ability to lift 5-20 pounds frequently
  • Ability to lift 30-50 pounds infrequently
  • Reach and lift overhead
  • Crouch and lift from floor level
  • Operate a pallet jack
  • Walk, stand or sit up to 95%
